Customer Reviews

"I love supporting local family owned restaurants "off the beaten path" and Sunshine Pancake House did not disappoint! We popped in for breakfast while in the area. We were greeted with a 'hello' the minute we walked in the door and seated right away, which surprised us because the parking lot was so full we had to park down the street. Definitely not a deal breaker for us. Our server was pleasant and took our order right away. Our meal arrived quickly and it was hot. Hubby ordered the 'basic' bacon/egg/potato breakfast and I ordered a veggie omelet/toast/and potatoes. REAL potatoes were served, not the frozen, dry, disgusting squares that practically every breakfast restaurant in Horry county now serves. Trust me, they were DELICIOUS! That alone will bring me back for breakfast another day. My omelette was large and they did not skimp out on the filling. Bacon was thick and meaty (not all fat) and eggs over easy were cooked perfectly. The restaurant decor has an old country store kind of feel. Only downside was the bathrooms are very small and in need of a serious upgrade. Also the restaurant dining area could use a deep cleaning and refresh. This place has the potential to be a diamond in the ruff."

"What a surprise gem, great food We both ordered the French toast special, great value, fast food delivery, toast was delicious not overcooked, or to dry, excellent ratio of spices. eggs cooked perfect on our overeasy request. reasonable pricing all menu, only regret just passing thru by necessity. would deffinately eat there again otherwise"

"Wonderful food and service. The old time grandmothers cooking feel set a great example of how a breakfast spot should feel."

"I ordered the breakfast bowl and it was fantastic. Another person in my party asked if they had sausage links and she ended up getting a roll of sausage that was a foot long and not what she wanted. Maybe its a southern thing?? We are from the north."

"The service was amazing in this cozy breakfast setting however the food was somewhat cold. I asked if my grits could be heated up and they did. I didn't care for the sausage but the potatoes were good albeit not hot. The coffee however, was super hot. That extra biscuit was my hubby's and he ate it. They were just okay as were the eggs. Also to mention, the ladies bathroom would not accommodate a wheelchair if needed."

"After an all nighter at McLeod Health in Loris with my husband's kidney stone attack & surgery, my daughter & I were starving. Pulled up this locally owned & operated restaurant. It's not much to look at, but the food and service were amazing! The music was a bonus! We give it 5 stars in all categories! Don't judge a book by its cover. What's inside is what matters! My blueberry waffle looked much better before I spread out my toppings, but it was delicious!"

"We only had breakfast and it was great but the lunch foods I saw coming out looked really good also, it's our favorite place for breakfast when we are in town."
